Dear Members and Friends of the YMCA:

We are very excited to announce the grand opening of our newest branch, the Atrium Family YMCA, located in Warren County on the campus of the Atrium Medical Center. This has been in the planning stages for several years and under construction for the past year and is now here because of the efforts and support of many different stakeholders, most notably our lead partner for this project, the Atrium Medical Center. Without their support and commitment, the Atrium Family YMCA would never have become a reality. We are also very grateful to our major donors such as the Akers Family, Walter and Betty Pague, and A.K. Steel. Due to their leadership we are well on our way to achieving our fundraising goal of $1 million for the Atrium project.

The Atrium Family YMCA is a 74,000 square foot state of the art facility that is the home to the Atrium Medical Center's Sports Medicine Group and the YMCA's full day child care center with capacity to serve 168 children. In addition, our facility consists of a 10,000 square foot wellness center complete with cardio, strength training, and free weight space; a group cycling studio; an aquatics center that includes a 4-lane lap pool, a warm water therapy pool and a whirlpool spa; a large gymnasium; an aerobics studio; community meeting space and a large child watch area. Programming will range from personal training, swim lessons, arthritis water classes, yoga,
volleyball, basketball, salsa dancing and much, much more! We hope you will check us out and get involved in some of the exciting activities that will happen at the Atrium Y. Now is the time to act because if you become a member before September 30th you will save $50 off the joining fee. If you are a current member, please keep in mind that if you refer a friend for membership to our YMCA we will reward you with a free month toward your membership fee so let your friends know about this special offer.

Finally, I would like to introduce you to our Atrium leadership team. Ted Mehlman has been named the Branch Executive Director of Atrium. Ted returns to the Great Miami Valley YMCA after several years in the financial services industry. Previously Ted served in the role of Executive Director of our Central Branch in the 1990's and worked for the Greene County and Boca Raton, Florida YMCAs earlier in his career. Ted brings a wealth of leadership experience and we are excited about his return to GMV.

Joining Ted are Ruth Kelly, Membership Director; Donna Keith, Senior Childcare Director; Ashlee Strang, Wellness Director; Kevin Rapien, Aquatic Director; Kristin Price, Business Manager; and Bob Reynolds, Properties and Facilities Manager. We believe that we have
assembled a strong team to help us carry out our important mission of putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
